Gray skies are going to clear up....

So our spring break didn't start out as planned. However, 13 stitches and a face plant into a thorn bush later, we are well on our way to happier times!  When I told the kids we would have a picnic today, I got more screams of glee than I did when I told them we were going to Sea World.  Corbin immediately found a perfect picnic blanket (one of my best quilts), and spent the next 15 minutes(while I made the lunches) trying to keep it unwrinkled and free of grass which proved very frustrating and quite impossible. Boston got yet another fire ant bite, and Brityn put on her fushia pink lipstick for the occasion. 

On the menu: PB&J (with grape jelly), apples, oranges, capri suns, mini oreos, and left over Valentines chocolates I found in the pantry.  What?  They ate them, and loved them. Brityn even has her eyes closed savoring the experience.
