Thanksgiving 2009

Thanksgiving in Houston 2009
Back row: Kevin, Me, Ryan, Amber, Mom, Dad, Joey
Front row: Corbin, Chloe, Brityn, Channing, Boston

Random Shots
Custom 'staches by Uncle Ryan.  Chloe is sporting "The Truck Driver".  Corbin has "The Conquistador".  Boston refused to sport "The Hitler".

Grandpa made Shirley Temple's for everyone upon our arrival.

Corbin's Movie Theatre
Corbin created a movie theatre for all the kids.

Admission/Concession table, complete with "Admit One" tickets which he made himself.  He ran a pretty tight ship!!  The kids all changed their minds and wanted to watch "Cars".  Corb told them too bad, because he had already written "Madagascar" on the tickets.  The funny thing was, all the kids were like, "oh, yeah okay, that makes sense".

Hermann Park
Love these amazing people!!!

Amber and Chloe (love these ones too).

See how excited they are to enter the quiet Japanese Garden, where they must stay on the path at all times, and touch nothing??  We should have taken an after photo.

Corbin feelin' the flow.  He was recreating a photo op that some people exiting the park took.  There was a 40 year old lady and a friend taking a "serious" picture on meditation.  Too funny!  People watching here was fabulous!

It was so nice to see my Mom and Dad!!!  It was even nicer to see them being able to relax!

Of course, doing this is going to end up with........

one of these.  Nurse Brityn to the rescue.

A band-aid and a little TLC, and Channing was ready to go again.

Someone finally broke my mom down, and she is working her way through the Twilight series.

My Dad takes such good care of my mom!  You can not even realize your freezing when you are immersed in the problems of Edward and Bella.  In actuality, being cold makes  you feel like you are IN the book.  Dad to the rescue!

Chloe, Channing, and Brityn, searching for "baby shells".

My Dad's rule #2: Always carry a ball or frisbee in the car.

Brazos Bend State Park
What a beautiful place!

All of us except Kev, the photog.

Kevin, Corb and my brother Joey.

Chloe & Boston looking at one of the snakes.  The kids loved this stuff.  Brityn was in love with the baby alligator they had there.  They were allowed to pet it and she went back over there several times to pet the thing.

Thanksgiving Dinner
My favorite side of the table: Potatoes, Salad, Rolls, and Homemade Reese Treats.

We had a wonderful time!! Thanks Amber for taking such good care of us!

We had a great time with you guys here in Houston. I'm so glad you made the trip. I love all the pictures. That picture of the windmill is really cool. My girls miss your kids. It's a little quiet and boring around here now.

Looks like a great time... You do have to share what the big project was at home for your parents. Can I just say your moms reaction had me rolling on the floor, I had tears from laughing so hard.

They got new tile laid (in the kitchen and dining room), by all of my brothers, and brother in laws. The sisters helped too. Monique actually hung outdoor Christmas lights, and that's what they were originally so stoked about......until they walked in the house. They did it over the Thanksgiving break. They worked non stop all day and into the night, for the whole break. They did an awesome job!!

Watching that video, I thought my mom was going to pass out!! They have been wanting new tile for years!
