Snow

Look what we got!!  4 ft. of snow!!!  Okay, so it was more like 4 in. but it might as well have been 4 ft.  Schools were closed before it even snowed.

Kevin and Corbin made a giant snowball that they will keep tabs on to see how long it takes to melt.

King of the snowball
Look at my kids' poor stragly winter clothes.  Darn it.

They made do.  I think they wore everything in their closet.

We did manage to round up gloves.  Boston was out for about 20 min., and he was done.  He spent the rest of the afternoon snuggled on the couch in a quilt watching Sponge Bob.

Kevin got into a snowball fight with 5 teenage boys from next door.  Their snowballs disintegrated mid air, but Kevin, being the Utah native, knows how to pack 'em.  They were impressed.  And frightened.  Several of them took direct hits.  Then one of the boys sent his little sister out from behind the tree where they were hiding.  She ran into our yard and yelled at Kevin, "Did you play baseball?"  To which Kevin replied, "Yep, 20 years ago."  She ran back yelling,"  HE SAID YES, 20 YEARS AGO!!"

Corbin and Brityn couldn't have been prouder.  They were beaming with pride the rest of the afternoon and continued to retell the story to whomever would listen (even though we had all heard it at least 20 times).  Their Dad was a hero!

Kevin's arm was dead the rest of the day.  And he asked me, that night, if we had any pain pills.

The next morning it was beautiful.

A Winter Wonderland.

The Aftermath.

That is so much fun! What a fun dad to take time to play in the snow and have a snowball fight! That is something that I bet your kids and the neighbor kids will never forget!!! I love that story about the little girl. I was laughing so hard. That is just so funny!!!!

I think you guys have had as much snow as we have this year! Well maybe not, but we have had hardly any! It is sooo beautiful that it is hard to hate....until you have to drive in it! Hope the snowball lasts a few days at least!
