So Far So Fun

Our summer is in full swing.  We have: been to a Braves game, picked blueberries, handwashed Dad's car, been swimming almost every day, made hot dogs and smores over a campfire, taken 3 truckloads of stuff I was saving for a garage sale that never materialized to the Goodwill, picked my first harvest from my garden, taught Brityn the first 2 lines of "I Am A Child Of God" on the piano, signed up for the library reading program, and cleaned out our bonus room to make way for a "Big Kid" play room.

We have also, wondered from time to time how many days till school starts, wished I could be alone for a sec, been frustrated at the wet towels that are ALWAYS on the floor, lost the will to put on make-up cause it will melt off the minute I open the door, tried to keep the peace between siblings who are getting used to being with each other all day every day again, cooked frozen or canned foods for dinner every night this week, wondered if I can rock purple nail polish to my nephew's wedding without looking like a 13 year old goth, run out of fun ideas to entertain my children, become irritated that they expect me to come with ideas to entertain them, realized I will be turning mid thirities this month and remembering thinking that was sooooo old when I was young.

Ahh, summer.  I love you.
