Easter Weekend 2009

This year for Easter weekend, we rented a cabin in Wears Valley, TN (just outside Pigeon Forge) with some friends.  View from the back deck.  So beautiful!

Miniature golfing with Shawn & Jenise's family.  Someone is a little too competitive, and was sad he was not #1.  Nope, it's not Kevin ;0) !!

Fox and Boston might as well be twins.

We hiked through THE FORBIDDEN CAVERNS!!

Complete with cute little bats,

and ooky spooky scenery.  Boston got a little scared in a few places, and the kids wanted me to take a picture of them "being scared".

We also went to Wonder Works in Pigeon Forge.

Boston kept calling it the Upside Down Museum.

This is what the ceiling looked like when you walked inside.

Very cool!  It's a children's science museum.

The older two got to go rock climbing.  Neither one made it to the top, but did awesome.  Brityn kept trying and trying long after Corbin had become bored and moved on.  Finally after about 1/2 hour (meanwhile the line is backing clear up) we tell her it's someone else's turn.  She said, "But, I didn't make it to the top yet!  I need to get to the top, and I know I can do it!" I need a little of her determination!!

We had such a great time!  Thanks to everyone who made it possible!

We came back home to find an Easter package from Grandma Stream on our door step!  It was full of Easter goodies for all of us!

The kids were so excited about the box, they unloaded the car, unpacked and cleaned their rooms in record time.

I hope everyone had a great Easter!!

p.s.  I failed to mention in Boston's birthday post that Grandma and Grandpa Wade flew straight here from Hawaii to be with him on his special day!!  That meant so much to him and he was so excited to have them here.  They were exhausted, and I'm sure would rather have just gone home instead of clear across the country, but it meant the world to my little man to have 2 of his favorite people here for his birthday celebration!!

What a fun Easter vacation, the view from the patio of that cabin is beautiful. I have a few more bags of zucchini frozen from last summer so we are for sure going to try your muffins.

What a fun vacation. Tiff, you look so cute! That children's museum looks so fun. I'm still trying to figure out how they built it like that??

What a great weekend! Were the kids scared of the bats? That's kind of freaky. The view from your cabin was beautiful. It's great to get away for a weekend. I'm glad you guys had a good time.
