I was confused as to why there were "props". I doubt that smile on Brityn's face is a result of reading the book she's holding titled: "If You Were There When They Signed the Constitution." Not that it's not smile worthy, I just don't think she would be getting a big kick out of it. They turned out cute regardless!
My elementary school pictures were always a bit traumatic. Every year it was the same photographer. He was an older man who carried around a sad looking rubber chicken. He used it as part of his "act" to try and get us mangy kids to smile. He would walk very cautiously toward us, almost as if he was going to tell us a secret. Then without warning, he would smack us over the head with it and yell out, "Don't hit me chicken!" Do you have any idea how difficult it is to smile when an older wrinkly guy, who may or may not have had a few screws loose, is repeatedly smacking you with a rubber chicken? Believe me you better have gone in smiling and gotten a good one on the first try, or you were in for some chicken beatings. And what is funnier than that.....right? Right. When it's not YOU! All kids get some level of thrill out of seeing another "getting it". Otherwise, what would be the purpose of tattling? When you're young, there's nothing better than witnessing a good ol' scolding, and it's just icing on the cake if that happens to be accompanied by a whippin'. I'm not going to lie and say there weren't a few fellow classmates I didn't enjoy seeing pummeled by a rubber chicken. And, had someone been watching close enough, I would have had an award winning smile when they had their turn. Truth be told, that's where the camera's should have been pointed; at the other classmates, watching/beaming from the sidelines.

OH Tiff I laughed out loud!!! I totally remember the "Chicken man" I even tell my kids about him. "Don't hit me chicken!"-- classic. I love trips down memory lane, thank you :)
Your kids are adorable and they look just like you!
I too had to laugh. I wonder what they do without the Chicken man? The kids' pictures are adorable! They turned out way good constitution or not!
Tiff the chicken guy is still coming to good ol' Huntington, so you should see Seth's pictures he's usually crackin' up.
