The kids decided to whip up a garage sale today. Notice the blanket has been unfurled over the sidewalk, completely impeding traffic. Just a little business savvy.
They made signs, attached them to pencils and skewered them into the ground.
Among the many prized finds, you will find: This container of partially used kids makeup. It is valued at $15 for the box.
A wad of unrelated silly bands: $3
Here we have a two in one: Friendship bracelets for $1/piece, and/or 5 rocks for a dollar. Coke glass, for display only. Not for sale.
They priced their own items, I packed them a sack lunch, and they sat out on the blanket at the front of the yard peddling their wares for 2 hours. They only managed to snare 2 sets of customers, but surprisingly made $18. Not bad. Since we still have quite a few items, we are going to try it again on Tuesday. If you're in the neighborhood, drop by!!
I'm off to buy a hamster with Brityn. Today's income put her above her hamster goal. Yay. And, yes, that's dripping with sarcasm.

That is soooo cute. Bless their hearts!! I love it. To bad we do not live a little bit close so we could have come to the sale. Tell them good job! It sounds like they had a successful Sat. Good luck with the hampster!! Lol.... so funny ;)
