Wednedsy (August 13): Took in Chic-Fil-A to the school at lunch time for her and I to eat together. Also brought birthday treats for the class. I asked her if she wanted to wear the princess crown I'd also brought, during lunch. Of course she did. I forgot my camera, so I didn't get any pictures of that. She was the star of lunchtime, and she was in heaven.
Friday (August 15): Her actual birthday (we were in Park City. Did I mention her birthday is also our anniversary?). Grandma & Grandpa Wade, and Aunt Jenise and Uncle Shawn took Brityn and the all kids to Chuck E. Cheeses. They had a blast!
Sunday (August 17): We opened presents and had "cake". It is really more of a Birthday-dessert-of-your-choice more than a cake. I let them choose whatever they want. Curiously they have never chosen cake.
Very excited about the Junie B. Jones book.
But, that paled in comparison to this gift......
The VOICE RECORDER!!! She is obsessed with this thing. She has taken it with her everywhere. It's beginning to drive us all nuts. Apparently, Kevin confiscated it last night while I was at Young Womens. He had had enough.
Ah, yes. Who doesn't enjoy a new tube of chapstick every now and again. But a 3 pack? It's hard to contain the joy.
Her cake of choice was Oreo Pie. She also got some fingernail polish, a bracelet (from Aunt Jenise), High School Musical paraphernalia & a Strawberry Shortcake movie (from Grandma & Grandpa Wade), and some clothes from Grandma Stream. Her only disappointment was not receiving the pet frog she had asked for.
We love this little girl so much. She is very grown up and is just pure joy. Can't believe we are so lucky and blessed to have her in our home. We love you Sweet Pea, hope you had a great birthday week!

Those are such cute pictures!! When she is 16 and wants a car...Show her the picture of her and the chapstick and say "sweetie look how excited you were for just getting chapstick" :) Happy Bday Brityn!!
