We can only go up from here.

Halloween 2006

My kids have always had very picky/specific ideas about what costumes they would showcase for Halloween.  Giving them suggestions was a total waste of my time, as I clearly wasn't even close to what they had in mind. This photo is a favorite:

*The old dance costume with red sweater tights, and brown boots.  It was so funny to hear people open their door, take one look at her and say, "Oh my!  Aren't you a cute little......cute little.......dancer?"

*The lion (which got candy stuck in his mane all night long).

*The Spiderman costume that was going on year 4, and snug in all the wrong places (notice the strategically placed hand).  He spent the majority of the night plie'-ing down the side walk trying to make that costume behave.

This year Corbin has made a list of 3 possible costume ensembles (so him).  He will go back and forth between them, weighing the pro's and con's of all 3 possibilities.  He will do this until the night before and then suddenly panic will ensue.

Brityn is planning to be a fairy/princess/good witch.  Fairy wings, check.  Princess crown, check.  If anyone has a princess dress they wouldn't mind letting me borrow, please let me know.

Boston is Batman.  So easy.  Thank you my youngest child.

We might be making progress!

That is such a nice mom of you to let them be what they wanted to be even if it really doesn't work. That is such a funny picture! Halloween is so much fun. I love it.

Look how little they all are and such a funny picture of their costumes. I laughed out loud at Corbin plie'-ing all night long. Do you need any of the princess drees-ups I have?

Your kids have really grown up since that picture of last Halloween. Totally funny about Corbin's costume not fitting - strategically placed hand - haha!
I haven't even begun to think about costumes yet.

My older two boys are the biggest Halloween scrooges. So Halloween is always a HUGE pain because they are so picky about costumes. I totally feel your pain. My suggestions count for nothing. As far as my older two go, I'm leaving it entirely up to them this year. Should be interesting. (Actually, it won't be interesting at all. They probably won't even dress up!)

I remember that Halloween you were so frustrated because no one was cooperating. They all picked their own costumes, and there was no way you could convince them otherwise. Those are the good times that create great memories. Good thing it gets dark real fast on Halloween for years like this.

Ty and Devon decided to be army men this year (they always want to match for some reason), I bought them each a $4 army helmet from Walmart and they are wearing camo clothes they already own...how easy boys can be! Maybe I will splurge and buy camo paint for their faces! :)
