Boston's school had a transportation day, where the kids got to bring their bikes and scooters. They had a little "town" set up, made out of cardboard boxes. There was:
The Gas Station
Also, a Dunkin Donuts, a library, a veterinarian clinic, a lemonade stand, and an art station. They were all interactive and the the kids had a blast! It was so fun!
We took his scooter. He would have preferred his bike which is tiny, and only has one training wheel. The funny thing is he walks it. Every time we go on a walk, he never RIDES the bike, he walks the poor scraggly thing. And, he's more than happy with that. He really needs a new bike that isn't 8 years old, and been through 2 other kids. But, I think that's why he likes it. It was his brothers, AND his sisters. It holds some magical sibling coolness.

I just love reading your blog, it is great and inspiring- to make homemade lemonade, blend some watermelon and put in it it is yummy. Nothing like a sweet drink on those warm days.?
Looks like tons of fun! I love how he turned right to camera when you called his named! That is funny!
Wow! What a fun thing to do! I bet he had a blast!!! You should have let him take the bike. Maybe one of the shops could have fixed it up! He is such a cute little man!
What a dang cute idea. I love the car wash. How creative. Dont worry about the bike being too small for him or even 8 yrs old because I am sure if you did buy him a new one he would choose that little one every time over the new one.
