Corb at Line Creek Nature Trail
My three baby duckies.
Everything in the world to smile about.
It's amazing to me that every little thing in this life begs our gratitude. Just when we think we can take the heat no longer, fall arrives. It's my favorite, and the season when these pictures were taken. Cool with a warm breeze. Eventually, fall gives way to winter, and if it wasn't for the celebration, of the birth of our Savior, it would be bleak for most (I love winter. But, that may have something to do with me living in Georgia where they are short and mild, for the most part, only occasionally dabbling in the wonders of snow). Winter gets old and monotonous, and we are blessed with new life, color, and a renewed sense of well being with Spring. What a loving Heavenly Father we have.
This pattern repeats itself in our own lives as well. Life is going along swell (summer), and then it starts to get hard (fall). Kind of like trying to run through a river of molasses. No matter how hard we try, it doesn't seem like we get anywhere. We are victims, we feel sorry for ourselves, things are out of our control. We pray and plead with God to lift our burdens (winter), and when He doesn't do that on our time table we become bitter and angry. This loving Heavenly Father pushes us one step further then we thought we could go and then....reprieve (spring). We drag ourselves out onto the other side, exhausted, but so proud of ourselves for making it through that sticky mess. We drop to our knees overcome with gratitude for a Father who know us better than we know ourselves. We promise to stay close to Him, because we know inevitably this season will come again, and by golly, He knows just how to get us through it. Who better to help us through it than He who has borne all of our pains, weaknesses, imperfections, and sorrows?
I truly am grateful for the "seasons" in my life. And it's not only because right now I'm in my summer :). I'm thankful everyday for a Father in Heaven who knows me, and what I need to become my true self.

I agree with Aut, Corb looks so grown up. He looks like he is going to be a tall kid. I really like that picture of all three of them.
