My posterity

Can you guess how long it took to get them all looking at the camera....AND smiling?  Waaaaay longer than necessary.

We started off with model poses, which I repeatedly told him to bring down a few notches.  Then, there was a bug scare....and then laughing and joking about the bug scare.

(look closely for the flying shoe in this pic)
Then there was a shoe a shoe incident.  An impatient swinging of the leg, launched Brityn's right shoe into the air.  They all calmy watch the shoe fly up into the air (Boston is still smiling, picture ready), and land just out of reach of Brityn's big toe.  Brityn looks right at me in panic/shock/ and that look of hope in her eyes, that if she holds real still, I might forget that whole thing just happened.  Boston yells out, "UGH, this is taking furevurrrrrrrr!!!", his life quote.  More laughing and reinactment of the shoe and the bug.  I was about ready to pull my hair out.  Apparently, all they need to see/hear is a frantic, desperate mother talking through her clenched teeth (they claim not to like this, but I secretly think they do), and threatening to ensure that they're miserable the rest of the afternoon. Now, SMILE darn it!

I love my posterity.  'Cause there's NEVER a dull moment around here.

so your post makes me feel totally normal that it is so difficult to get a GOOD picture of all the kids BUT also depressed that it doesn't get any better! AHHH!!! what to do? obviously, what you did worked and those are stunning photos you got of the kiddos and you and your hubby. :)
