Yesterday was the last day of school!!! Both kids got straight A's! They were up and outside playing hide and seek tag in their pajamas at 7:30 this morning. Our poor neighbors. Kevin started trimming the shrubs out in front of our house and found this little nest with 2 robin eggs in it. I hope the momma bird is okay with her new (albeit naked and exposed) location. Notice Brityn is wearing a jacket. Since it was dipping below the 80 degree mark this morning, both her and Corbin thought it was cold enough for long pants and a jacket.

Next on their agenda was fort building. Always a favorite at our house. After the fort was built, a very very long game of "bubble gum, bubble gum in a dish" was played. When I was little this was a pre-game game to determine who was it, or wasn't it. For them IT WAS the game. Speaking of bubble gum, what ever happened to the best Bubble Yum flavor ever...orange? I have not been able to find it since I was in high school.

What a cute little nest. Myabe this nest can take the place of your goose. Keep us posted on the babies. Oh the days of building forts. I have great memories of the forts we use to build. Sounds like the kids are off to a fun summer.
7:30 AM, up and running around? Really, you're going to miss that someday. If I can get Harrison up by 10:00 am during the weekend, or the summer, I consider that a great accomplishment :c).
Keep an eye on that nest. We had a cardinal's nest in our front bushes one spring. The babies are so cute and fun to watch.
Cute nest! That will be so fun for the kids to watch. Sounds like the kids are already enjoying their summer. If I know Corbin, He has probably got quite a few things lined up and is expecting everyone to participate!!! I wish you guys lived closer!
That is so fun. I love the fort. I too remember the fort days. It looks like they had a good time, that I'm sure lasted for hours.
