Oh, for the love!

This past week, at a Scout banquet, a potato bar was served.  I love mine with LOTS of butter and sour cream.  Brityn looked at my plate and with a disgusted face said:

"Mom, you better not eat too much of that,  you will get high cholesterol."

I didn't honestly know what cholesterol even was until I was in high school.  Sure the word was thrown around in our home here and there growing up, but I just figured it was one of those things you talked about when you got older.  Like your bowels.  Look, I'm not the healthiest eater, I'll admit.  But now it looks like I am going to have "eyes of a hawk" watching my every move where my eating habits are concerned.  Lovely.  And, since my daughter doesn't have an "inside voice", I am sure we are going to be in for some fun, public, moments.

Oh, that is hilarious. I fear what my kid says when I am NOT around to defend myself. And where do they learn such interesting things.
