Our weekend in a nutshell

(Hail from the hail storm!  Check those babies out!!)

The Long Version

Friday night:
Went out to eat at Panera Bread.  There were tears shed because the kids wanted to eat at Golden Corral.  Kevin had listed three option of places to eat (none of which were G.C.), and after they had shouted out, "#2, Panera Bread!"  he said: "Oh, okay.  I was going to say choice number 4 was Golden Corral, but since you all want to eat at Panera Bread, that's where we will go."  In our defense G.C. was so crowded and my kids don't really eat much until it comes to the dessert.  Hmmm, that sounds like someone else I know.

More tears and fussing ensued when the food came and was not as expected.  A little sibling kindness and sharing solved the problem.   I really do have great kids.

Next, we went to see Mall Cop.  It was pretty cute.  Brityn cried because she felt bad for lonely Paul Blart.

Saturday:
Woke up to breakfast in bed, lovingly prepared by my sweet kiddos, just because.  Cheerios for me and Golden Grahams for Dad.  Corbin said, "I would have put berries on it, but I was afraid you would hear us down in the kitchen and come downstairs."  It was so sweet of them.  Other Sat. a.m. happenings:
-Boston met his baseball coach
-Brityn had a birthday party
-Corbin had hitting practice at Home Plate

p.m. happenings
After going a whole week with one car between the 2 of us (the lease on our black Honda Pilot was up and it was turned in while I was in Utah), we were forced to spend yet another day trying to find a car.  After days & countless hours researching and looking for the perfect vehicle for us we came home with........a Black Honda Pilot!!  I'm rolling my eyes at ourselves.  Thanks Jenise & Shawn for watching the kids!

Sunday:
We walked out of church to find it was snowing.  Alot.  The cars were completely covered.  We had a scary (but gorgeous) ride home.  But, along with the snow came....thunder!!  Weird.  It snowed all day.  It is tornado season out here and the weather is soooooo crazy!  The week I was in Utah we had tennis ball size hail.  Kevin's brother gathered a few prized hail pieces out of our yard and saved them in the freezer for us.  No way I would have believed the hail was this size without seeing it for myself.   We now have to replace our roof and all of our screens and gutters.

Monday:
SNOW DAY!!  Although technically there wasn't any snow left on the roads, school was cancelled.  We weren't complaining.  We started our spring cleaning (cue the complaining):  closets, drawers, toy stashes, etc.  I've got some little pack rats on my hands.  Brityn declared a handful of broken crayons I found under her bed long lost treasure.  The list goes on, believe me.

I love it! What a great weekend! I can't believe that hail. Poor Brityn, she has such a tender heart! I can't believe you guys got snow...good thing you had bought Corb his confident snowsuit. That is crazy you guys had snow day when there was pretty much no snow on the groun, here we have to get like four or five feet! I think I only evr remember one snow day my whole growing up! When it snowed down in Vegas a couple weeks ago, my friend said that there were like abandoned cars on the side of the rd cause no one dared drive! Hilarious. sorry so long!

I have not yet seen Mall-Cop but need to now, That is so funny bless her heart. I would not be disappointed about the car situation. I think the Honda Pilots are cute. We are glad that you had a wonderful weekend. Speaking of Paul Blart Stevie and I went to watch it and lets just say I was pretty slouching in my chair the whole time because of how loud Stevie was laughing!! We cannot believe the hail..that is scary! I'm glad that we don't have any that get that big. You kids are too cute to make breakfast for you! AWESOME:)

Sounds like a fun weekend. You gotta love this crazy Georgia weather, huh? A week ago it was this warm or warmer, then two days later it snows, now we're back to warm weather again. I think Mother Nature has schizophrenia :c)

No way those are real hail balls! That is unreal. Your kids are so sweet to make you breakfast. Can they come here and do breakfast in bed for Aunt Amber and Uncle Ryan?

That hail is unreal, would have never believed it without the picture. Just imagine if you would have been hit in the head with that. Ouch! Do tell me about your experiences with the Honda Pilot. I am in love the "09". Just trying to sell Ty on the whole bigger car idea, he is more of a two seater convertible man but having kids have put a kink in that plan.
