So maybe you have to find something a little fancy for a cruise, a formal work Christmas party, or for chaperoning a youth dance, or attending an awards ceremony with your honey........and you look and you look but the only things you can find are going to cost you: Dignity, and moolah. Is it too much to ask for a little affordable modesty?
I have been searching for a dress ("A" dress. Meaning one is all I required), for years now. Every time one of the afore mentioned events came up, I would frantically tear through my closet for the most glittery thing I had. Which is not one thing. I take that back. I do own a gold, glittery, sequined sash that came with something I own (I don't even remember what). Sadly, I did try to incorporate this into a formal ensemble, with no success. The only other formal option I could ever come up with was to wear all black.
So black skirt and puff sleeve black button up became my go to attire. Once in awhile I would jazz it up with a hot pink clutch, or some fake glittery baubles. After several years of this same vicious circle (receive invite, panic, search, put it off hoping something will magically appear, panic the day of the event, search some more, resign to blackie and puff sleeve), I have decided to retire blackie and puff sleeve. We had a good run.
Fast forward a few months where I'm visiting my local neighborhood Ross to purchase an apron, imagine my surprise as I pass these lil' cuties:

okay, now I want to see YOU in them! Great find on very pretty dresses! I've always said you should be my personal shopper! :)
About half of my wardrobe comes from ross. Practically all my pants, some shoes, and a few handfuls of sirts. I enjoy going to Ross when they have good things in stock. The other day I went and found a levi looking button down dress for $2!!! I am so proud of that item
You never know what kids of day it is going to be at Ross!! But when it is a good day it is usually a GOOD DAY :) happy Findings!
I have this same dilemma on an annual basis for my office's January
"prom." It's been a nightmare thus far (even with a mom who is a sweing phenom), so I congratulate you on your finds.
