Beach

This is on the west side of Puerto Rico.  We ventured over there for some great snorkeling, but the weather was not cooperating.  The beaches were very rough.

Brityn was worried the entire time that we did not speak Spanish.  "We could say 'hola' if someone says hi to us, right Mom?"  She asked me that several times.  She wanted to spend our entire vacation at the beach and the hotel swimming pool.

Corbin was a little hesitant about the itinerary each day.  He started out almost everyday saying "this is going to be the worst day!"  That was of course quickly recanted once we got to where we were going.  The thought of driving anywhere (there are basically no rules of the road, which got a little nerve racking sometimes and we were driving a little micro machine that had a busted windshield and was missing the window up/down buttons on my side) was enough to send him into depression each day.  Each day after arriving anywhere he would say, "Mom, I think my stress level is finally going down."  Poor kid.  He is a total stress case.

The kids kept wanting Boston to get in the water, he did a little, but mostly just looked at them and yelled, "Well, it's cold!!"  That's alright baby.  You can stay on dry land with your sympathetic mother.

We built sandcastles instead.

We ate at the coolest restaurant right on the beach.  It was so beautiful and the food was fantastic!!

Our couples vacation picture.

Corbin threw up a couple of times because he got so much salt water in his stomach.  He started stashing away starbursts to take to the beach from the car treat stash to curb his upset stomach.  So he said.  I was a little suspect.

This beach was a block from our hotel.  The first time we went was about 4 in the afternoon, and there was hardly anyone there.  Plus no sunburn is always a plus.

Tiff, you look so great! You always did. How fun to be able to take your kids with you. I love having my kids on trips with us, especially if they are a little older.
Glad you had a great Christmas and Vacation!

I can't wait till my kids are a little older and I dare take them anywhere. Taking a toddler that can't talk anywhere gives me a ulcer even thinking about it. Looks like you guys had lots of fun. I feel for Corbin being a stress case my four years old stresses about everything, sometimes I just have to remind him to be a kid.
