Job Interview

Corbin has a job interview tomorrow.  He is interviewing for 2 jobs actually.  The first is grade recorder, and the second is class money cutter.  The money cutter is the higher paying of the two and he is hoping for that one.  Please keep your fingers crossed for him.

In his second grade class they have what's called mini-society.  The kids create their own "country", complete with their own flag, money, jobs, etc.  They have to turn in job applications and interview for jobs just like the real world, and are expected to wear suits, or shirts and ties to the interview (which will be conducted by Mrs. Cole, his 3rd grade teacher).  I think this is such an awesome opportunity for these kids and Corbin is so nervous/excited about it!  Mrs. Cole is an incredible teacher!  We love her.

Totally awesome idea. Heck we needed to have something similar to this when I was completing my bachelors in Business.

I love mini-society and have been amazed at the things the kids come up with to sell on the last day.

Good luck Corbin on your job interview. Mrs. Cole is a very good boss to have.

Jac missed her interview today, she's got a nasty cough. I hope she doesn't get stuck with Janitor or something crappy like that. I hope Corbin got the one he wanted.

What a great idea. I can see how this stuff would be right up Corbin's alley. No more little kid pretending anymore, this is real world stuff. He will do awesome at whatever job he lands. Tell him good luck.

Good luck, Corbin! I'm really impressed with the amount of work and time the teacher is willing to put in on this project. I'm glad he got such a great teacher.
