Sunday in primary, the Word of Wisdom was being discussed. The teacher had several food items on display. She choose several kids to come up and pick a food item and tell her whether or not it was good for our bodies.
Boston was one of the lucky ones, and got to go up. Remember this is in Sharing Time, so all the classes and teachers are together. Boston picked coffee (of course he did).
Teacher: "Now, Boston is coffee good for our bodies?"
Boston: "Yes!"
Teacher: "Actually, coffee is not good for our bodies. It goes in the trash."
Boston: "Well, my mom and dad like coffee!"
Everyone erupted in laughter. I was not present and do not know if it was uncomfortable laughter as in, "Oh my, did he just say that, & I wonder if it's true", or if it was really that funny to think that Kevin and I are coffee drinkers and that our children think it is on the good list. Thanks for ratting us out Bosty.
(FYI, Kevin and I DO NOT drink coffee. Although I do love the smell:)

Oh no!! There is never a dull moment at our house you never know what is going to come out of their mouths. Example a couple of weeks ago Ty was helping me hang pictures that needed to be level and spaced an exact amount and he was frustrating because his cell phone kept ringing and I said "who the @#$$ is it now. Really couldn't he just let it go to voice mail. So I said something that really I don't know where it came from but I figured no one heard me. Well needless to say the door bell rang and I opened it and Brenden said "who the @#$$ are you", to some elderly gentlemen that was dropping his computer off to be fixed. Yikes!
Oh my gosh Mand! That is so funny/embarassing! We should start a tag "top 5 most embarassing kid moments". I think that would be so funny to read!
Oh, the things kids say. It was quite funny!
That is hilarious. That picture fits just right with that story too. His little face and expression are too cute! Let me tell you--if you want a laugh, come to Primary. We hear good ones all the time. I love it!
You can learn a WHOLE lot about the families in the ward in Primary--who cusses, who drinks coffee, which kids think they're mom or dad is a hypocrite, you name it...the scary thing is most of it is true (not in this case, I'm sure). There have been many an awkward okay, let's change the subject moments in Primary :c). Too funny! If you want to do that Embarrassing kids moments tag, I've got some doozies.
That is so funny. You know there are going to be a few people that will be eyeing you closely over the next little while to see if they can detect any sign of you guys drinking coffee. I love Mandy's story about Brenden. We were in the airport once and there was a boy(who could have passed as a girl) sitting RIGHT next to me and Channing said,"Mom is that a boy or girl?" The people 2 seats down could have heard her so I know the kid did..UGHHHH
LOL!!!! I love that kid!!! Inspiring 2009 goals too-btw!
I sometimes wonder what might come out of my little girls' mouth when I am not around. Either a curse word or a "family secret."
That is so funny Tiffany. I knew I recognized that smell from your kitchen whenever we visit but I just couldn't place it because I never thought about you being a coffee drinker. LOL.
Luke told the primary his dad watches rated-R movies...after watching a movie that was R in the theaters but cleaned up for TV!!!! He didn't understand the editing concept so he busted his dad in front of Brother Halliday and whoever was in hearing distance of his LOUD voice!!!!!!
