Only in the South

Today while shopping in a craft store, I realized the song they were playing was familiar. It took me a few measures of humming along to realize what it was. It was "Abide With Me". Only in the South could you hear this and then walk next door and hear "Apple Bottom Jeans". I wouldn't be a bit surprised if there exists out there some type of medley with the 2 songs, because that's the south for ya.

Too funny! Many years ago, we attended my non-member grandparents' church service in Florida. They dedicated their new building and sang a dedicatory song. I don't remember the words, but the tune was "Come, Come Ye Saints." I looked up at my dad and we both started giggling. I never thought I'd ever have heard that one. You never know what you'll hear anymore:c).

That is hilarious! Not even in Utah would you hear Abide with me on the radio unless your listening to "Soft Sunday Sounds" in which case you would NEVER hear Apple Bottom Jeans! Can you imagine the confusion...ha ha ha?
