Have you ever stopped to realize how much effort goes into getting your groceries off the shelves at the store and onto your shelves at home?
- Lift them off the store shelf, place them in the cart.
-Lift them out of the cart onto the conveyor belt thingy.
-Lift them back into the cart once they've been bagged.
-Lift them out of the cart into your car. Root through the sacks for 5-7 minutes trying to find the donut holes that the cashier girl didn't bother leaving out for you. You know the ones. The single serve Krispy Kreme cups filled with them? You find it in with the hot dogs. You no longer want the donut holes.
-Take the groceries out of your car and into the house. You realize, you'll go ahead and have the donut holes now. You put away the frozen food items, but let the others sit on the counter while you enjoy your tasty little morsels. You keep staring at the groceries sitting on the counter, eyeing them down thinking: "I just don't think I can move all of you one more time!"
-You FINALLY, take them out of the sacks and put them on the shelves.
This is a process that gobbles up an entire morning people. Goodnight, Irene! You would think there would be a more streamlined way to do this by now. We can put a man on the moon........

I hear ya.... I am almost at the point to start the grocery shopping online too. I looked into it but was too cheap to pay Albertsons the $10!!!
Love this post!!! So true...i think you should get going on that!(the invention!)
This make me laugh, because it is so true. We should be able to grocery shop online with delivery option. I would even opt to just go pick it up. It would also save you the buying of lots of unnecessary things that were not even on your list.
You are so funny! Good thing for you Tiffany - otherwise I would never ever have thought about it. My grocery shopping is going to take on new meaning now. Forget about the donut holes I got straight for the chocolate :)
You didn't invite me....guess I have to settle for pizza.....
Very True, but for me I also have to bring the Twins back in the house. Diet Coke gets me through all the shopping and all the bringing the bags into the house and it is very good at washing down all the donuts...
And then add on to it a 3 year old "helping" with the shopping and a screaming baby once you get home for the final lifting. What we do for food, I guess.
